Horticulture Manager

Description

This position requires a strong background and experience in horticulture with proven leadership skills. This position supervises and plans the work of the Union Horticulture and Grounds Teams. Key areas of responsibilities include: supervision of horticulture and grounds team, management of horticulture budget & inventory, park and grounds appearance. Work also includes implementing and evaluating work methods, procedures, and guidelines; supervising the work of assigned staff; and, preparing reports for management review. This position must retain a high technical skill level and knowledge in the design, implementation, and maintenance of garden and landscape areas as well as broad knowledge of plant species, their care and uses. 

Requirements

• College degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.

• 5 years of experience in horticulture related business.

• 3 years supervisory experience.

• Training on equipment specific to horticulture industry.
